This song from Maroon 5 was a good piece and easy to play using 5 chords only. The reason why i chose to do a cover of this song was because of the catchy melody, the meaning of the lyrics plus the fact that Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levigne sang it makes it more beautiful. Most song usually for an international artist, their unique style, sounds and arrangement was so different yet simple. Being simple doesn't mean it is not good. Simple sometimes can be more beautiful and extravagant when it comes into music. Some artist due to pressure and the desire to gain attention from others tend to over do it. A music that can be relatable and trendy was one of the reason why songs have been loved from others.
We knew that the first key to engage our music from other ears was through our melody. That is why, this song was a perfect example for this. When you listen closely to the melody (if you played it to the piano) it seems to have a close similarities to the Canon D. Though plays it differently as Memories plays in guitar, when you play it on Keys you can heard what i'm trying to say. So that's all i have to share about my thoughts on this songs. Well actually, I've experience some struggles while recording this song. When allergies cannot be detect immediately, it can cause your performance to worsen and that's not good at all. I think it took me to 2 - 4 takes before we ended this session. Hope you could watch it!
