You need to avoid also staying too long outdoor. The airborne deseases are just around, many people has colds and flu and it can easily passes through the air that we breath.

Aside from airborne viruses, the cold air is like an ice entering your nose. When you felt that your voice sounds weird and you have a runny nose, you better take a medicine to prevent it to get worst.

A right medication requires an attention. Most prescribe medicine over the counter are Paracetamol (Flu), Chlorphenamine Male-ate (Colds) and Carbocisteine (Cough).

These can be bought over a drug store and some don't required a doctor's prescription. However, take responsibility not to take it over consumption. Once your health don't get well consult a doctor immediately.

Have a proper clothings to protect you from cold weather. We need to stay warm when we feel cold. I recommend you to always wear jackets and long sleeves.

When sleeping, choose a thicker blanket rather than the regular one. Some people uses gloves and socks that works really well. No more sleeveless and short please!:)

Take time to rest more. Spending at least 8 hours is a good one to protect yourselves from common illnesses. Our body amazingly recharges it's energy and renews our health conditions when sleeping.

Taking a simple naps also helps. Some study shows every person needs at least 30 minutes of nap as a part of your break time routine (when working). It makes new energy all the days ahead that's why a good rest matters most in our body to function well.

Take hot drinks such as black coffee or tea. Any tea can work like the one that you already have in your pantry. For the mean time stay away from cold beverages like sodas and milk teas.

Try to make your own soups like simple pumpkin soup. A good refreshment during cold season will help you feel warm. Considering the foods that you take during this season can help you to stay healthy.

Wear a face mask. This one really helps me to not inhale all the cold breeze that surrounds me. Aside from it you can defense yourself to have colds. I recommend you to wear face mask specially when you travel. A surgical face mask also work and available in the market and cost only 5-8 pesos. You may purchase the one that can be washed.
