HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR VOICE

Our Voice is one of the most common used as a part of our everyday lives. When we talk (almost all the time) this is our way of communicating to others. Our voice is very sensitive in many ways. If you are a singer this is the most important factor of your career and the entertainment industry as well. So how can we take good care of our voice?

1. AVOID THINGS THAT CAN TRIGGER YOUR ALLERGIES

Allergies can affect your voice. If you have asthma, the phlegm that you may have in your throat can really affect your voice (speech/singing). If you had already known that you have allergies you must strictly avoid foods or instances that can cause your allergies. In my personal experience, my throat feels so itchy to the point my singing vocals also suffer due to continuous coughing and hard to breath at the same time. Being uncomfortable makes me nervous that's the reason why my voice sounds like with stress and full of tension.

2. WATCH THE FOOD/DRINKS THAT YOU TAKE

Drinks can really affect your voice. The most common drinks that we had in the market are SODAS/ CARBONATED DRINKS. When you drink it you may feel full and all that air that you take out from a Soda swirl in your stomach that can cause you bloating.

The CAFFEINE also affect your voice, make sure not to drink coffee before a performance cause it will make your throat dry and acid re-flux may come too. Milk tea is on trend and you don't want to mess a performance by taking of this. Avoid also putting an so much ice on your drinks. In most cases our voice may loss when our throat can't handle that cold sensation-of. Remember that any performances we should be ready.

3. CHOCOLATES AND DAIRY PRODUCTS

Who doesn't love chocolates? We all want it but if you sang regularly, you must avoid it more often. Too sweet can effect your voice, in some cases i knew some people that chocolates can trigger their allergies but not all of us is allergic to chocolates. Taking too sweet before a performance can make your voice feel dry.

Although chocolates can be an energy booster but always remember anything in moderation matters! Dairy products such as milk can also make your stomach bloated that can cause you acid re-flux. Anyone doesn't want to feel that way while performing.

4. DRINKS NATURAL PROCESSED JUICES

You can make DIY juices with a blender and fruits with no sugar added. I would probably suggest is a lemon juice (not the lemonade in the store). It's so easy to prepare with just a water, squeeze a lemon or just simply slice it and let it soak in water that you will take. Fruits and vegetables are now common to make juices, aside it was good for your body your voice benefits also.

5. WARM WATER

I love drinking warm water, it releases gas on my stomach naturally. Aside from it the warm water also help your vocal nerve relaxes. We all need to have a relax and no tension voices for we are able to reach and flex high note. Do not settle for an expensive remedy if you can have this simple warm water every time you may feel itchy throat.

Warm water also flushes toxins from a stomach when we take it before taking breakfast. However if we flushes all of our bad substances in our stomach including gases, we may feel so clean and re-hydrated throughout the day.

6. HAVE A PROPER SLEEP

Our body needs to rest and our throat is also a part of our body. If you only take good care of your throat/voice, you need to think of how you could take care of it as whole. Having a good rest composed of at least 8 hours of sleep can recharge your system. Sleep is very essential and you need to prioritized it. Remember that if you are lacking in good and proper sleep/rest your voice can be affected too.
