3 TIPS TO SING BETTER FOR BEGINNERS

Filipinos are well-known as singing is a common thing here. Karaoke's are almost present in any occasion but not all Filipinos are perfect pitch and tempo. If you like to make singing in a new step higher, maybe this tips will help you to begin your journey in finding your genre.

1. LEARN HOW TO BREATH RIGHT

Singing works with breathing. You can
not sing without breathing and mostly we forgot to breath in correct timing. So why it is so important breathing? Our diaphragm helps our voice to expand and produce more longer phrases in each lines of songs. If you cannot breath properly, your voice will reflect like you are forcing it too much (straining). Every songs has different style and intonation so breathing plays a big part of singing. When i study new songs, i wrote into a sheet of paper the whole lyrics and draw lines to each phrases if i have to pause and breath. Breathing is not as easy as you may think, proper breathing requires perfect timing, power and strength to create it longer and sustainable.

Breathing must be came out on you diaphragm (on your lower abdomen). When you started to en-hale from your nose to diaphragm to chest then hold it and sing. (It may sound unusual this things but this is the simplest way i could describe it.) There's tons of video tutorial in breathing exercises and i personally recommend to try them too. But i think that this is the first foundation in singing. A good voice tone in every person cannot be learned but some people can imitate famous singers though originality matters most and i know you will agree to me.

2. MASTER AT LEAST ONE SONG

This result may vary but i know it could help any beginners out there. When we try to sing our favorite song, you may notice that everytime we sing it, our voice feels comfortable more and more. It is because our vocal range simply adapted by the song and our voice will be more familiar to that song. I remember when i tried to sing songs with high notes, the first and second try makes my voice strained and i had to admit that i'd almost give up. But as i try and try to practice that song more often things change. My voice miraculously stretched and adapted to that kind of range. In that way i discover some thoughts that said "You need to sing higher note so your vocal range will stretch". Our voice needs a special care and specially in this kind of practice. Just be careful do not force your voice to much to prevent a worst scenario.

3. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT PITCH!

I know that there is no perfect in this world but maybe practicing it can make you perfect pitch. Well on the other hand a perfect pitch is not given for all. The best example for a person that has perfect pitch is Charlie Puth and it is proven that any pitch played he can describe it easlity. In singing it is so important to sing on the right Pitch. Some singers are born with it but some are not. Your ear plays a lot on this because your voice needs to be heard by you or other people. When you try to sing Do Re Mi, though it is simple sing it accompanied with a piano playing it higher to lower. When i was in my Primary days in school, my choir coach uses this technique to know who are able to sing in pitch or not. He discovers who has to be in the group of Soprano, Alto and Tenor.

Also try to sing in acapella for you to hear your voice clearly or you can even record yourself. Singing without music may really help you discover your own flaws and weakness. Maybe that's why American Idol wants audition sings acapella or one instrument alone for voice could be heard clearly. The good thing about self taught you expertise it without being criticized with other people. Likewise,  learning this 3 tips will help you to be perfect than better. :)
