Bible Journey Series | What Blood Symbolizes in the Bible

Have you ever wonder what blood is all about?

Our bodies blood volume estimated from 1.2 - 1.5 gallons and it also depends on how much you weigh and your gender. In general our body needs blood to sustain and maintain our circulation of living. However if science has it's own definition what blood is, i was about to think of this matter while reading my Bible.

In the Old testament the book of Deuteronomy and Leviticus describe as the bible chapter which describe the first time that God given the 10 Commandments and other Jewish Laws. These laws are consist of several rituals to perform for each every sacrifices and God itself taught Israelite's what exactly they would do. However in the contrast of these, i observed that every sin that's been done need to be forgiven a sacrifice. It is holy as God made it holy to please Him.

The Blood of the animals that will served as an offering and sacrifice was used in the altar to be poured out eventually in the designated area that God has ordered. The other parts of the animal's body will be divided into different parts and used for other sin offerings and sacrifices. These method was a tradition that given to the Israelite's that time and by doing those rituals they can sin can be forgiven by God.

Personal Insight:

The Blood represents Life. Humans and Animals both have lives and science also shown that there are some similarities of our body between animals, both have heart, lungs, kidney, liver, and blood. God created us humans with our body completely attach with all the capability to do whatever we want.

Blood transmission often uses to save lives. When our body is lacking in blood counts these may cause a big problem called Anemia and opposite of it was High blood pressure. Basically these are just few but blood is like a fuel that makes our body work and to function according to their job.

If the blood is one of the main used as a sin remover, that is why Jesus blood is the perfect blood for us today to be saved. Even before God's work surprisingly and full of wisdom. The blood sacrifices before was broken when Jesus died and his blood shed on the cross. This kind of illustration declaring that God send Jesus to us humans to be saved and forgiven by him. By knowing these i felt that blood is not just a simple as it may be.
