Marcelito Pomoy | Semi-Finals Performance

Finally, after several weeks that America's Got Talent | The Champions Edition held the qualifying round and luckily one of the talents who advances in the semi finals is our Filipino pride, a singer with a dual voice Marcelito Pomoy. When he got home from US and got some interviews about how does his journey from being the Pilipinas Got Talent Winner change his life up today really impressed me. His talent shown more than that. The story behind his success is an inspiration to all who always believe that their talents will be their saving grace to freed poverty. Those interviews also reveals some of the unseen moment in the competition. He also included that the song he was about to perform for the semi finals must be from the judges choices. It made me think that these judges will really choose a song that it's hard for him. After watching his first performce at AGT, he really sounded different the way he sang here in the Philippines. There's a strange feeling that he can sing way much better as he did before and i am not mistakenly expecting it.

Few hours ago, Marcelito perform again in that said competition singing a song from Andrea Bocelli's "Con Te Patiro" (With you i shall leave). It was originally sang by Andrea Bocelli alone but way back 1996 he made a second version of this song together with a British Soprano Singer Sarah Brightman. When he started to sing, it was amazing and really surprise me with the song he selected. I didn't remember he sang in the Philippines that song. Aside the fact that he can really sing the part of a girl, i was also impressed for his diction (Italian Song). Let's be honest here, Andrea Bocelli's songs are not easy to sang and to do both voices at the same time makes Marcelito a game changer in that competition.

Meanwhile the judges speaks out and i laughed so hard how Howie makes his statement and opinion about Marcelito's performance. He said that Marcelito has a girl inside of his manly built lol! You can watched it and made yourself laughed. Kidding aside, i was waiting for Simon Cowell's moment to give his opinion and he says that, Marcelito needs to give the unexpected performance for the Finals if he will make it to qualify for that round. He also included that the surprise thing is over (referring to his dual voice).

But his honest opinion really compromise too. He can be a good prediction for the future winner of AGT. He also told Marcelito that he has a future career now. What matters right now is how can Marcelito still perform an amazing act with an extra ordinary skill. Can he still give the crowd and judges an standing ovation moment when he perform for the next round?

So then, the results are out now and Terry would announce who will advances in the Finals. It really gives me a heart pounding scene and his name finally called. HE MADE IT! He made it and the crowd and the judges celebrates with him. All the act for the semis are all deserving and needs to be recognized in their respective countries. Every representative in different countries makes a significant figure to be proud of. As Marcelito advances in the Finals, (the only act from Asia) will be a life changing not for him, but for all those talents that will compete for the finals. I hope that Marcelito will make a good song of choice and be careful not to over sing his piece. He was flexible and a good rehearsal will definitely give him an ace for the Finals.

Many Filipino fans like me are excited for the Final Battle of America's Got Talent and hoping that this time, a Filipino talent can win as a Grand Champion. There's a lot of discussion pointed out that racism in the Filipino act was ruling the International competition. Well in fact, way back in American Idol, when Jessica Sanchez didn't win the title and got the 1st runner up, it made me think that a person with a filipino blood can't win an International Talent Search specially American Idol when the title itself American blood will always win. The comment section we're in the result for those who qualify to the finals flooded with support for Marcelito. Hoping he can win and bring the pride as the very First Filipino win America's Got Talent the Champion Edition.
