HOW TO BUILD YOUR AUDIENCE (How Social Media Helps an Artist to be discover)

Nowadays social media are one of the fastest and common platform to established your audience and show the world what you got. I think that Facebook and Instagram was one of the top in that way on creating a huge audience and sometimes being viral makes it more faster to discover. However video sharing site like YouTube is on the top so i am now discussing that way because I've been there and still there :)

1. START TO UPLOAD VIDEOS ON YOUR DESIRE SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM

For an artist who loves to do music, YouTube would be a great help but be sure to know all the guidelines first and understand it well. When the first time that i uploaded my video cover, I've encounter the COPYRIGHT CLAIM. It was so alarming and nervous at the same time. I am so worried about that claim that can affect my channel and the worst scenario my channel can be deleted. YouTube successfully helps a lot of new artist by uploading their song cover like Shawn Mendes, Boyce Avenue and a lot more. But because of the in demand used of YouTube, the algorithm of your videos to be viewed by more audience is hard to reach. I am not saying that there would be no hope for us newbie to get more view and audience, the matter is that building audience is not that easy. We need to be more dedicated and not to stop on pursuing what we wanted.

Facebook and Instagram are also good on sharing your stuff. Like in the Philippines lots of people uses FB and IG more often. That's why if you chooses to upload your videos on FB and IG there's much greater chance and if your videos got lots of share i am sure that it will be viral. It's a good bonus and be known for lots of people.

2. CREATE YOUR OWN CHANNEL / PAGE / BLOG SITE

It is necessary to have your own YouTube channel or FB page or a Blog site for your audience to visit you in a while. By this you can upload all your content and do some blogs or even a Live Chat to build a good interactions between you and your audience. You can personalized it and share some personal thoughts about you. Aside from planning to build more audience it will be a good way to start new source of income. Yes, you can earn from reaching a required subscriber and watch time (FB and  YT) in blogging world you can earn by the ads once they visit your page. It's a win win situation that you are just investing on 2 projects right?

3. BE UPDATED ON TELEVISION CONTEST

Auditioning in the TV contest are one of the fastest way to enter showbiz and the trend of it are not changing. A lot of talent shows are now looking for more talents waiting to be discover. Having that kind of exposure makes it easier to be known by wider range of audiences. In that way also they can easily search for your name on social media. Who knows? one day you will be famous right?


Just choose wisely on what TV contest you want to audition and do not be discourage if there's a moment of loosing and rejecting. Practice always and believe in yourself!
