HOW TO COOK GINISANG PANCIT CANTON W/ PATOLA
Patola or Sponge Gourd has been one of the common vegetable in the Philippines. Aside from being easy to grown even at your own garden. This amazing vegetable has a lot of good benefit for our body.
The Patola or Sponge Gourd has nutrients, vitamins and mineral and some anti oxidant. It contains Magnesiume, good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin B5 Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C. This is good also for constipated people because it has Fiber and Potassium.
Surprisingly this amazing vegetable are being neglected and left behind but it taste good when you cooked it when newly harvest. It has a slight sweet taste that gives a good aroma on your dish. Today i will share one of our favorite dish from Patola. Below are the complete list of ingredients.
Ingredients:
(up to 2-3 servings)
2 cloves garlic
1 small onion
2 tbsp of soy sauce
1 cup water
Chicharon (crushed)
2 packs Pancit Canton (cut into cubes)
Salt and Pepper 1 medium size patola
Procedure:
1. Sautè garlic and onion then add water and soy sauce. Cover for a while and wait till it boils.
2. Add the pancit canton and give a mix slightly cover for 1 minute. Then add the patola cubes and pepper.
3. You can adjust the water and salt if you want it more sauce. It depend on your taste.
4. Simmer for additional 5 minutes until the Patola is tender.
5. Serve while hot with calamansi to add more flavor. Enjoy!
