Lumpiang Shanghai

An easy to do traditional Filipino food. Lumpiang Shanghai is one of the most present food during holiday season gathering and any occasions. Aside from being delicious and crispy tasting, this food is easy to prepare and cook. I will give you my complete list of the ingredients that i used in this video. For only 160 pesos you can make 20-35 pcs of Lumpiang Shanghai.

Ingredients:

¼ kilo ground pork
5 cloves of garlic minced
1 big onion minced
I big carrot grated
2 medium singkamas
1 egg
Kinchay
Lumpiang wrapper
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil for frying

Procedure:

1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. (ground pork, onion & garlic, singkamas, carrot, egg, kinchay , salt and pepper.
2. Scoop 1 Tbsp of lumpia mixture and roll it over the lumpia wrapper.
3. Fold both sides and secure the edges with water. Continue the process till done.
4. Deep fry in medium heat flame, fry till golden brown both sides.
5. Best serve while hot to ensure crisp and dip with ketchup. Enjoy!

Tip:
1. You have to squeeze the excess liquid of the grated singkamas and carrot.
